What exactly is ADHD or AuDHD coaching?
Think of ADHD or AuDHD coaching as having a co-pilot who's well-versed in the ins and outs of ADHD and AuDHD. Your coach helps you understand how these types of neurodivergence impact your life and gradually helps you build strategies to tackle executive function challenges like time blindness, motivation, organisation, and attention. We’ll also tackle emotional regulation, procrastination and any other hiccups that might pop up. Plus, it’s a great space to reflect on your strengths and map out your future goals.
-
How is an ADHD or AuDHD coach different from a therapist?
Coaching is very much driven by the client. The coach helps a client get really clear on their goals, find solutions for areas of challenge and focus on what is possible in the present moment. The coach also focuses on practical strategies and solutions for daily life challenges, while a therapist might explore deeper emotional or psychological issues. Coaching is action-oriented and future-focused, helping the client create tangible changes in their life.

What’s the process like?
Assuming after the intro call we wish to proceed, we typically meet online via video conference for 50-minute sessions, either two or three times a month to start with. Before each session, I’ll send you a prep form to get your brain gears turning. I also provide exercises, forms, and handy info through my coaching portal. Coaching is a journey, and like any good road trip, it takes a bit of time to see the scenery. But stick with it, and you’ll start to notice positive changes—without needing to ask, “Are we there yet?”
